01 沈阳国家森林公园 - 沈阳第一峰
Shěnyáng guójiā sēnlín gōngyuán - shěnyáng dì yī fēng
Shenyang National Forest Park is located in the east of Shenyang City, in Hunnan District, 40 kilometers away from the center of Shenyang. Altitude is between 100-266 meters, it’s kind of an easy hike place where the whole family can go, and the visitors also get to see camel, rabbits, peacocks and other animals. After going uphill from the routine route, there is also a “hidden path” to go downhill where you can access from the top with a board writing “沈阳第一峰” (means the first peak of Shenyang). This route is a bit challenging but more natural.

02 笔架山风景区 - 笔架山
Bǐjià shān fēngjǐng qū - bǐjià shān
Bijiashan got its name because the shape of it looks like a calligraphy brush hanger, it is famous for the magical “heaven’s bridge” between the mountain island and the coast. Legend said the “bridge” was built by a fairy overnight and it appears above the water twice a day (around 7am & 7pm) which according to the staff that visitors can walk to the mountain at these two hours, otherwise you need to take a boat. The total area is 8 square kilometers. Among them, the land area is 4.72 square kilometers, and the sea area is 3.28 square kilometers.
锦州笔架山风景区 (Jǐnzhōu bǐjià shān fēngjǐng qū in pinyin). In 锦州市 (Jǐnzhōu shì in pinyin), around 3 hours 43 minutes’ drive from Shenyang

03 海棠山风景区 - 海棠山
Hǎitáng shān fēngjǐng qū - hǎitáng shān
The height of Haitang Mountain is 715.5 meters above sea level, which is a model of the combination of cultural and natural landscape. Haitangshan Pu’an Temple (now the biggest Tibetan Buddhist temple in northeast China) was built in the 22nd year of Emperor Kangxi (1683 AD) in Qing Dynasty. After six generations and the 5th living Buddhas, it has developed into the Tibetan Buddhist center in the east of China, known as the “Little Potala Palace”. At the moment, visitors can not go into the temples but you can still visit the mountain area.

04 天女山风景区 - 天女山
Tiānnǚ shān fēngjǐng qū - tiānnǚ shān
Tiannv Mountain, commonly known as 歪砬子 (Wāi lázi in pinyin, can be literally translated to crooked peaks) is the remnant of Changbai Mountain. Tiannv Mountain is 780 meters above sea level, and the scenic area covers 1380 acres. The park has high forest density and fresh air. There are different routes to access to the scenic area, I would strongly suggest you experience as much as you can to enjoy the most of this great place.
天女山风景区 (Tiānnǚ shān fēngjǐng qū in pinyin). In 抚顺市 (Fǔshùn shì in pinyin), around 2.5 hours’ drive from Shenyang

05 关门山国家森林公园 - 关门山
Guānmén shān guójiā sēnlín gōngyuán - Guānmén shān
Guanmen Mountain has always been called “the Yellow Mountain in Northeast China”. Its name, Guanmen can be literally translated to closed door, as the entrance is built by one higher and one lower mountain opposite to each other which made it looks like an closed door. While hiking into the mountain, you will be accompanied by smooth flowing river, magnificent peaks and freshing air. The best season for visiting is autumn, but it’s also a great attraction in other times of the year. To walk around the attraction will take 4-5 hours.
关门山国家森林公园 (Guānmén shān guójiā sēnlín gōngyuán in pinyin). In 本溪市 (Běi zhèn shì in pinyin), around 2 hours 20 minutes’ drive from Shenyang

06 宽甸天华山风景名胜区 - 天华山
Kuān diàn tiān huá shān fēngjǐng míngshèngqū - tiān huá shān
Tianhua Mountain Scenic Area is located in the northern part of Guanshui Town, Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County in the eastern mountainous area of Liaoning Province. It is an alpine forest zone with an elevation of more than 1,100 meters above sea level in the southwestern foothills of Changbai Mountain. The natural beauty of the strange peaks, rocks, forests, ancient trees, caves, gorges, waterfalls, streams and waters complement each other, making it a perfect destination for visitors.

07 花脖山景区 - 花脖山
Huā bó shān jǐngqū - huā bó shān
Huaboshan Mountain is one of the most important, typical, and characteristic ecological park in northeast China, with 1080 hectares beautiful, breathtaking and advanturous landscape. The two major attractions are Baipuxia and Huaboshan and the mountain is known as the “Roof of Liaoning Province”.
